My neck was injured and I needed a long time treatment during the year. Briskin took the case on a contingency basis. He was very promising at the starting point. At that time, I didn't know that the only intent of Briskin is to get quick money (quick settlement). If there is no quick money, he just leaves a client helpless during the pending action. Briskin is not about long term relationship, he is not to go till the end. Simultaneously with the civil damages, the criminal action of assault was pending in the municipal Court. The opposite side filed a counter claim blaming me with trespassing and provocation. Briskin told me "everything will be ok" and then waived his representation in the Court. After almost 1 year treatment, 1 year of pain in my neck, 1 action pending in the Court I was left helpless, without an attorney, on my own. I told Briskin that merely dropping the client might be a violation of attorneys ethics rules.
